i fear that since 9/11 the u.s. is more than ever turning a blind eye to palestinian terrorism and putting still more pressure on israel to make further concessions to the palestinians and take even less steps to punish terrorists.

Face reality, yeah right. That's what restarted this mess. Clinton made the two parties address the hard problems, conveniently unmentioned for the past few years. The Palestinians will never accept that they are economically dependent on Israel and that the strategic insecurity of Israel demands Israeli control of security and defense of any Palestinian state. The Israelis can not accept that they are dependent on Palestinian labor. Neither party likes the realities of Jerusalem.

The solution was offered at Camp David, Arafat refused. He survives on conflict.
