Hi Harry:

Not sure if I'm a good one for analyzing moods on a train and in the city. I make the trip maybe once a quarter and this is the 1st time since May (payback is I may doing it more in Nov & Dec).

The people I deal with (accountants / lawyers) in New York were understandably still feeling the impact. I think by Thanksgiving (but this depends on US actions against the terrorists) operations will be more normal but not there yet.

Most had friends or at least an associates directly impacted (of those I deal with no immediate family).

They are dealing with it as best they can and since we all support the insurance industry work has to go on.

Grand Central was still crowded but with it being a holiday and the new commute rules I couldn't tell if it was more crowded than normal.

I did leave the station right away.

Sorry I'm not much help on this.

Tim
