They're selling in Fry's in Austin,TX (I was on a trip through southern US) intersection of 360 & 1 . I would have picked one up except that I had another destination ahead and didn't want to lug the box.

I held it in my hands for a few minutes.

I'm travelling to the far east for a couple of weeks next week, so wouldn't have time to play with it anyway, so I wanted a better known brand. Maybe I'll ask a friend to get me the shuttle board if it is a reasonable manufacturer.

When I was in the store, I saw 3 boxes left.

Interestingly, the only s478 i850 mobos were from intel and they all had "coming soon" on them - just pics, no real mobo yet.

I thought Asus and Gigabyte were the big names for motherboards, until last week, I haven't even heard of shuttle.

Btw, there are also mail order sites from pricewatch.com that sell the shuttle AV30. Seeing that K7 DDR mobos with via chipsets were selling for about can$110 (us$70), $129 is definitely a bit high. These things should be selling for << $100.

But Fry's is usually not the cheapest place to get stuff anyway. Their starter monitor-less duron machines of us$450 was high. In stores in Canada, similar boxes sell for <us$300.
