Interesting note from Verizon Newsgroup markolenski 9/29/01 6:33 pm I was in a Radio Shack store in the Houston area today and spotted the Nokia 3285 in the Verizon case. They apparently received it yesterday. When I tried to buy one (for $69), it could not be activated because, at first, the Verizon activation desk had no info on this phone. It later turned out that there is a problem with the ESN format that Nokia used and the Radio Shack people told me that the phone was going to be recalled to fix the problem. And so the Nokia woes continue....
