Remember Time's cover, God Is Dead? "God is dead" is overkill. "God is on our side" is even worse. "God is back" a la Peggy Noonan, IMO, is iffy, too. If we're going to have a message, perhaps it should be "God has many faces." And then Madison Avenue needs to reach the Middle East.

Noonan's a Republican PR type, ain't she? This make me gag, big time. Not only will Madison Avenue use the opportunity, but already are the Bushes pushing this same old fundamentialist 'Christian value' BS political agenda that, in my view, as 'official rhetoric' that contains ANY allusion to religion, faith of ANY SORT, is directly antagonistic to the alleged 'purpose' of avoiding world war. This ignorant, self-serving fool hasn't 'metamorphosed' into anything different, much less 'noble,' as a result of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. He's simply more befuddled than ever. Anybody check out the statement from Osama bin Laden (allegedly, that is) being reported on CNN/MSMBC et al? He picked up Jr's early use of the term, "Crusade." Stupid, they are not, obviously. bia
