I hope I did not seem to compare the terrible pain in NY with the relatively minor impact here... Perhaps I should have said that it even sent a shock-wave through the economy here. I also am sure that you don't mean that unemployment is easy either. People will lose their houses and their lives will be more difficult. Bankruptcy is just soaring off the charts here. That is not easy either. And there are no benefit concerts for these people -- but they are alive and I expect very, very grateful not to have experienced a murderous attack on their families. I think it touched all of us in a sense of revisiting our prioirities -- I know it has made me stop and ask what is most precious to me. People in NY lost what was most precious. I did not.
