Dude, I'm sick of the propoganda.
I don't even think the WTC can restore credibility to Wall Street.

Jim Rogers just returned from a lengthy trip around the world.

I would have liked to hear what he had to say on CNBC, regardless of whether I agree with him or not. As I go to search for the Rogers interview online, I notice they have now pretty much fully merged with Microsoft, asking for passport log-in etc. This is wonderful. Now they are not only in bed with Dow Jones and General Electric..but with MSFT as well. There are virtually no sources of independently-produced information left. I gave up. Waiting for the moneycentral/cnbc site to churn endlessly is not my idea of worthwhile research.
If anyone has a direct link to look up Jim Rogers interview on the web, I would appreciate your posting it.
Ron

I've never been much of a fan of Jimmy Rogers myself, but the dude is very smart and has made a whole lot of money in his career. He is one of the fortunate few with the means and knowledge to travel the entire planet in style. Some of his calls have actually been good, but like most, many have been lousy.

To his credit, he did say to avoid US Stocks in late '99 and early 2000 as just about everyone else was insanely bullish. I don't agree with you that he's anti-American since it's America's system that made him so wealthy. I think perhaps what he was relaying to Maria was his understanding of why many parts of the world do hate America(ns). He never said he supported their position and I really doubt he does. He's in a credible position to offer his opinion considering his exhaustive world travels. There is a great deal to be learned from someone that has journeyed the planet so extensively.

If you want a quick laugh, check out this Video footage of him getting his cell phone ripped off in a crowd at a Bull fight at the Festival of Santa Rosa in Bolivia about a month ago. His wife warned him to avoid a particular crowd, but he didn't listen. I'm sure his wife would attest, he is one stubborn man; which no doubt has contributed greatly to his vast wealth.

The Cell phone was stolen near the end of this 5 minute clip. Enjoy:
