Dipy: You are welcome--somewhat. The problem is that during the relevant time period--from April 7, 1999 to April 7, 2000, your so-called portfolio went down about one percent, while my pick went up 329%. Every one in American Legion Post 134 was a hero after the fact come mid '60s, but on D-day there were more than a few laggards.

Now you are portraying yourself to this thread as the voice of reason, when your pick to click this year is down 56%, whereas my picks are down 44%.

Here's da ting, Dipy. If you combine the two times you and I have directly hooked up, your return is MINUS 57%, whereas my return is a PLUS 140%. Now let me think, would I want to double my money (and then some) or loose half of my money. I'll take Door Number 1 Monty.

More to the point, I fully expect a terrific recovery within the next three months such that my portfolio that you have so "mercilessly tracked" will still be in the plus category.

And more to the point, if we hit a discernable market low, (I.e. big sell off), I will switch my position from NSM into LSI, since I feel that LSI has a much better chance of appreciating over the next year than NSM. Hopefully, this will come after I've held NSM for a year.

BTW, I don't even remember the guy who suggested I switch to NSM last year, (he went to Harvard I believe), but thanks. I will let you have the dinner that Dipy owes me.

Regards

JH

Oh and one other thing Dipy: You have mentioned to this thread many times in the past few months you impeccable timing and foresight in having bought LSI, and then sold it on the way up. Once again, the facts get in your way. As the following post demonstrates, you bought LSI in 1994, held through the peak of its pricing in 1995, and then sold on the way DOWN.

Dipy, there is a slight difference between up and down.
