I said: "God can change His mind and re-direct His Will."

You reply: "If God is a completely perfect being wouldn't a change indicate a lack of perfection? Was He mistaken about something? Did He forget? Is there some contingency that He is unaware of? God, being already perfect, is immutable, He does not change."

Greg. Your response is silly. How does the immutability, which you ascribe to the nature of God, translate into stripping God, not only of free will--but of everything. Can you denude God of His attributes??

Do you believe that God is compelled to answer or not answer a petitioner in prayer? Do you claim that He does not make choices? That He does not judge? Silly, silly, silly.

The discussion started and remains on the question of whether or not a supernatural God can defy the logic of a Greg McRitchie. Can He? Do you deny Him this?

Do you think that light HAD to travel at 186,000 M.P.S.? Do you think that God could NOT have made everything in the universe different than it is, in an infinite variety of ways?

The universe could have been made out of spiritual bowling balls--insubstantial and immaterial...but with excellent memories (recorded on nullity) of this and of that. A strange conspiracy of light and sound (SLOUND) might have hopped from ball to ball, cycling them through a random and infinite succession of "shapes". The bowling bowls might "see" these shapes as temperatures rather than as squirkles.

Everything that exists was created by God, out of absolutely NOTHING--RIGHT?? This is a far greater defilement of "logic" than the parlor trick of changing the nature of reality such that the laws of logic are modified in some way. Obviously, a God who could turn water into wine (illogical), create a universe out of nothing (illogical), or stop the earth while suspending all the laws of the universe (illogical--Joshu...awe)--does not deserve to have Greg M. tell Him that His supernatural powers are limited by the "natural" limitations imposed by the same Mr. McRitchie. The very definition of God asserts that He is NOT limited by ANY "natural" laws. God is a supernatural being, the Alpha and the Omega. God does "miracles". God's laws are arbitrary. They were not compelled; they were chosen. YOU do not tell GOD what His limitations are. God will show you what yours are.

The laws created by God were created out of nothing. They are choices of God. God can change his "mind" whenever he wishes
