I just found out about a program that fills both of the functions of Drive Image and Partition Magic at at $30 price, and a 30 day free trial. It's called BootIt Ng. I was asking questions on a windows xp newsgroup about old versions of Partition Magic, and several posters pointed me to this program with their hearty recommendation. bootitng.com

Drive Image 5.0 sounds great, but I'm not excited about having to upgrade just 2 months after purchasing the then current 4.0. DI 4.0 doesn't work with the XP's ntfs file structure. So far I've stuck to fat32 for dual operating system purposes. But I never use Win98 and anticipate dropping it completely. With the new versions of DI and PM ($130-140), I could change to the new file structure, or try BootIt Ng.

BTW, I haven't tried the program personally. But with many thread members so fond of imaging, myself included, I thought the thread should know of an alternative that includes non destructive partition resizing.
