You're speaking of Afghanistan where the Christian missionaries are on trial? Or Sudan, where Christians are enslaved? Egypt, where Coptic Christians are persecuted and slaughtered? Indonesia, where Christians are beheaded? You certainly can't be speaking of Israel with its active and numerous and thriving Christian population.

As far as any country having a "right" to interfere in another country's war and enddanger its soldiers, that's hogwash. Besides, we are not speaking of the United States per se, but of Lyndon Johnson, who was a homicidal psychopath. Many people criticized the "right" of Johnson to do many of things he did. Put the blame where it deserves to fall.
