Free trade! Lol, good one Joe.

Pro-egoism is the opposite of collectivism. Collectivism is wrong. Does that mean the opposite is right?

You know the Holland version of the "Fly By NIght" album shows an eagle, representing liberty of the individual.

There are three facets to humanity. Spritual, physical, and intellectual.

Materialsim is egoism, and LSD does not equate to spiritualism. Man can not live on bread alone.

Bastille Day
Words and music by Lee, Lifeson, and Peart

Ooh, there's no bread, let 'em eat cake
There's no end to what they'll take
Flaunt the fruits of noble birth
Wash the salt into the earth

But they're marching to Bastille Day.
La guillotine will claim her bloody prize.
Free the dungeons of the innocent [sinlessness as all responsibility is recognized as owned by Ground of Being]
The king will kneel
And let his kingdom rise.

Ooh, blood stained velvet, dirty lace, [search "blood", "crimson"] [white appears dirty smudged during altered state]
naked fear on every face [terror of loss of control in ego death]
See them bow their heads to die [in ego death, many feel forced to bow to the Ground of Being or divine higher control level, or underlying control level, acknowledging its priority of power over the ego]
As we would bow as they rode by
And we're marching to Bastille Day [*we* will die as governors just as did the kings]
La guillotine will claim her bloody prize [flaming sword cuts off ego's head when one grasps cybernetic Truth]
Sing, oh choirs of cacophony
The king has kneeled [ego has died to let the power of the Ground of Being be recognized]
To let his kingdom rise.

Lessons taught but never learned [search "Lesson", as in the song by that name on 2112]
All around us anger burns
Guide the future by the past [as kings-as-governors died, so shall egos-as-governors die]
Long ago the mould was cast
For they marched up to Bastille Day
La guillotine claimed her bloody prize
Hear the echoes of the centuries
power isn't all that money buys. [money to buy LSD (thousand 10 cent wonders) appears to enable greater personal control via metaprogramming the mind, but instead, leaves one metaphysically powerless and helpless]

Wait a minute, are you saying Rush is not influenced by Rand?

From egodeath, a comment on free will:

[commitment to invidual freedom and commitment to deliberate Belief in free will is different than philosophical belief in metaphysical free will. The challenge here is to claim personal power, as against the omnipotent Ground of Being/Tao, even when one has seen the illusory nature of personal egoic power.]

There are those who think that life is nothing left to chance,
A host of holy horrors to direct our aimless dance. [ego death is holy horror/terror, radical loss of control of one's will and mind, saved through prayer for salvation from the control vortex]

-- This is pure Kant, and a rejection of Rand.
