Ok... I see what you mean... Yes.. religious denominations and divisions are truly one the causes of such wars.. But the belief in higher powers is somehow instinctive in mankind, or at least a representation of his desire to put all the pieces of his existence on this planet in some semblance of order. Some say religion is the opiate of the masses... but given the alternative, I'm content to have people believe they will have to answer in a big way for the actions they commit here on earth.
