Yes, nothing to do with it. How would it have anything to do with it? If we were in the 1940s and we were arguing the question "should a state called Israel be set up for the Jews" then maybe it would have relevance in the context of my earlier comments. But we are in 2001, in a world where Israel exists and has for over 50 years. If you destroy Israel now and kill or exile all of its Jewish inhabitants you would be acting against and taking land from people who control it now, not from the people who controled the land in the first century AD or earlier.
