It's a disturbing story, and gives an idea what the inhabitants of Afghanistan have had to put up with.

On the plus side, it does mean (if the stories are accurate, no reason to believe otherwise) that good intelligence is available if you speak to the right people from that country, even if they are scared half to death. I would suspect a lot of them would like to see the Taliban overthrown.
