Actually, to set the record straight, the Finns were supporting themselves and I don't believe had any real love of Hitler.

They were merely seeking any assistance they could receive in order to reclaim territory taken from them by the Soviets during the winter war of 1940 (where their much smaller forces inflicted horrendous losses upon the Russians).

The Germans were more interested in supporting the Finns as a means of tying up Soviet forces and giving them another front from which to besiege Leningrad.
