If the Taliban and their followers refuse to join the human community, and continue to massacre those of us they consider their enemies, they are doomed.

Yes, the Taleban will fall, and that is a good thing. I just hope that Americans don't get the idea that the fall of the Taleban will eliminate, or even prove a serious obstacle to, fundamentalist terrorism. That would be wishful thinking of the most dangerous variety.
