Enjoyed your posts about the Fed. Good analysis and very likely dead on. I personally think the Fed sometimes buys stocks outright, but we'll probably never know what "mechanism" they use to deliver the much ballyhooed "liquidity." << I'm sure Bob Rubin could explain further but he isn't likely to, perhaps you could ask Heinz. >> Speaking of Rubin, I'd like to know why he was in a closed door session with Congress and Greenspan the other day. He's not the Treasury Secretary anymore and is obviously well entrenched in the private sector as the Co-Chairman of Citigroup. So why the hell was he allowed to be there? Just what are these guys up to?
