Enjoyed your posts about the Fed. Good analysis and very likely dead on. I personally think the Fed sometimes buys stocks outright, but we'll probably never know what "mechanism" they use to deliver the much ballyhooed "liquidity."

Speaking of Rubin, I'd like to know why he was in a closed door session with Congress and Greenspan the other day. He's not the Treasury Secretary anymore and is obviously well entrenched in the private sector as the Co-Chairman of Citigroup. So why the hell was he allowed to be there? Just what are these guys up to?
