Caught part of the second quarter of the Cowboys' game last night out of the corner of my eye while reading with my son.

That has to be the worst team at the NFL level that I have ever seen. Every time I looked up they were fumbling or doing some bonehead play or another.....didn't look like they could beat a local high school JV team.

I had a car once that seemed pretty good when it was new. It accelerated quickly onto the highway ramps, turned corners crisply, and maneuvered well through the city traffic. Then it got old.....first it made noise down the ramps, then seemed unable to gather speed quite as well. It groaned when it turned, then turning at all became a chore as the power assist stopped working right. The sides rusted, and as it turned corners it rattled an vibrated and shook. I was reminded of that car as I watched Emmitt Smith last night.

Gloop Scoop Week 5
___________________________

YTD Straight up - 29 - 12

YTD Vs. Line - 22 - 19 - 2
___________________________

Zona @ Philly - I have news for ya folks - the Eagles are good but not that good. All it's going to take is a real defense to shut McNabb down and they're in trouble. Zona is not that Defense.

Philly 27 - Zona 10

Bears @ Birds - How do ya pick this game? Martin and Anderson are out which probably means these teams are evenly matched. When all else is the same - Stay home.

Atlanta 20 - Bears 17

Bengals At Steelers - I can't believe what I'm about to do here. This should be a slam dunk for the steelers but the Nazi War Criminal (Jon Kitna) has played ok. Upset special

Bengals 23 - Steelers 17

Minnesota @ NO - AFter last week the Vikings look to be back on track right? Wrong! This is still the same team that came unglued against the bears. They should win this game but they wont.

NO 19 - Minn 17

New England @ Miami - Last week the Phins were exposed. If you can go up two touchdowns on them they don't have the QB to get them back in the game. However, they have the D that will prevent the Patriots from getting ahead.

Miami 27 - NE - 13

SD @ Cleveland - This browns team is much improved! I have no doubt as to their ability to upset SD. But That Doug flutie may be the greatest QB to ever play the game <g>

SD 27 - Dawgs - 12

Tennessee @ Baltimore - Last week was a good thing for the Ravens. They beat a quality team but the offense still looks rusty. This should be a rock 'em sock' em defensive game. Defense wins championships

Baltimore 15 - Titans 12

Wash @ NYG - Not worth talking about

NYG 31 - Wash 10

Jacksonville @ Seattle - Holmgren is under a lot of pressure right now. The Seabags may lose this game but they're going to learn something - Shaun Alexander is a great back! If the Bags control the ball on the ground they will win. But I don't think Holmgren is thinking that way right now which will cost him yet another game.

J'ville 24 - Seabags 13

KC @ Denver - Look for Griese to go nuts on these guys. Also look for more draw plays to anderson who WILL run wild against KC.

Denver 34 - KC - 23

NYJ @ Buffalo - The Jets are pissed and buffalo has no defense or running game. This is a lock IMO

NYJ 24 - Buffalo 3

GB @ TB - The bay of pigs! Which Packer team will show up? The past 2 years GB has had really poor games in Tampa. Here's the deal - Dunn is hurt, Both defenses are playing well (TB is better), Favre is way ahead of Brad Johnson in my mind at the QB position. I believe this game will be won by a turnover.

GB 15 - TB 12

Dallas @ Oakland - Dallas is rotten! But they're not as bad as they looked last week. Oakland will win but this game will be closer than it should be.

Oakland 37 - Dallas 20

Carolina @ SF - Hey folks....lets be honest - Garcia looks pretty good. I hate the way he plays the position - never liked running QB's. That said unless someone puts the crunch on him SF should win

SF 28 - Carolina 24

St Louis @ Detroit - What a sleeper MNF game this is. It's in a dome which means just like home for Warner and the gang.

St Louis 41 - Detroit 9
