Re: end times. First the Prophet Isaiah has to come back and show the Jews how to rebuild the Temple, because they have forgotten how. Actually, they have also forgotten where - it's archaeologists who say the former site is what Jews call the Temple Mount and the Muslims call the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque. Personally, I am rooting for a different spot - I don't care where. Another problem - the reason the Temple (second Temple, as you no doubt know) was destroyed in the first place is because God is p.o.'ed with the Jews. Once God forgives the Jews for doing whatever it is that p.o.'ed him, then there should be no problem. Isaiah will come back and tell them how and where to build the third Temple, and they won't have any problem building it. Then the Messiah will come and all the prophesies will be fulfilled. In the meantime, what they are doing is trying to "Immanentize the Eschaton" as William F. Buckley would say. Which is a common weakness, but doesn't actually affect too much in heaven, it seems. I don't mean to slight Jews' religious beliefs. I know how serious religious Jews feel about this. Just passing it on.
