Its actually worse than that. If you buy 5000 shares in one shot the commission is now $50 (1 cent per share). They have been dinging me this way for 1 month now and I haven't been realizing it until I read your post just now.

I think I will move my account to etrade or something like that and just use TD for trading Canadian stocks.
