Bombardier Signs Q300 Turboprop Contract With Petroleum

TORONTO, ONTARIO--OCTOBER 11, 2001 - 10:24 EDT
Bombardier Aerospace has signed a contract with
Cairo-based Petroleum Air Services (PAS) for the sale of two
50-passenger Bombardier Q300* regional airliners plus options for
five additional aircraft.

The two firm aircraft, valued at $30.06 million U.S. (Cdn$42.08
million), are scheduled for delivery in May next year with
optioned aircraft deliveries to be completed by July 2004.

The new Bombardier Q300 aircraft will allow PAS to increase its
route network in support of the oil and gas industry and provide
additional services to support the country's tourism industry
through charter services.

"Petroleum Air Services made its final decision on the purchase of
the Bombardier Q300 aircraft on the basis of the aircraft's
economics and performance characteristics," said General Samir
Abdel Salam, PAS chairman. "Our experience over many years with
our Dash 7 fleet - the forerunner of the Q* Series family of
products - has given us a deep appreciation for the ruggedness and
dependability of Bombardier's turboprop aircraft," he said.

PAS's fleet currently consists of five 50-passenger de
Havilland(R) Dash 7 airliners and a sizable fleet of Bell
helicopters.

Bombardier Receives Order for the Refurbishment of
Passenger Coaches in Hungary

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--OCTOBER 29, 2001 - 07:31 EST
Bombardier Transportation was awarded a contract
by the Hungarian State Railways (MAV) for the refurbishment of 136
suburban passenger railway coaches. The total value of the
contract is approximately Cdn$58 million (40 million euros).
Deliveries are scheduled to take place between July 2002 and July
2003.

The Bombardier Transportation facility located in Dunakeszi,
Hungary will be responsible for the refurbishment of the vehicles,
which comprises replacing the worn and used parts of the coaches
and modernizing the technical equipment. The refurbished vehicles
will be equipped with air-heating system, automatic sliding doors,
glass-fibre reinforced plastic interior covering, individual seats
with textile upholstery, luggage racks with glass pane and
fluorescent lamps.

Bombardier Transportation is present in Hungary with its
manufacturing plant located in Dunakeszi. Activities in the
Dunakeszi plant include manufacturing, refurbishment,
reengineering and overhaul of passenger rail vehicles.
