If you would like to go beyond dictionary definitions and learn about the Babylonian Talmud, Kabbalistic literature and other Jewish writings such as the Toledoth Yeshu, I would suggest you begin by reading Hoffman's excellent work published a few months ago called JUDAISM'S STRANGE GODS. You can purchase this book for a modes fee at amazon.com or bn.com. This book will give you an exccellent understanding of the fundamentals of the Talmud and Kabbalah and will enable you to understand the writings themselves. I would also recommend Israel Shahak's JEWISH HISTORY, JEWISH RELIGION which you can also buy at amazon.com Isarel Shahak and Mezvinsky, two Jewish scholars, also recently wrote a book called JEWISH FUNDAMENTALISM IN ISRAEL. This book is excellent and can also be bought at amazon.com
