Rich or poor, plants or animals, we all struggle to survive. A small tree beginning life in a overcrowded forest, does not say to others, "Hey, its a poor area here, lets burn down all the other trees and then go jump in the ocean and drown because its better in the "other world"
If its so good 'over there' I dont understand why he is so reluctant to go instead of sending others.

If we had announced to the Germans the day before D-day when and where we were crossing the channel, we'd still be there fighting today. I don't understand why we don't feel the element of surprise is so unimportant. Are we that good, that confident, that insurmountable? Does telegraphing our punches not put a single life in danger? Is the chest-thumping supposed to smoke 'em out?
