Hey frank,
I had (have) a lowball bid in for HSE based on this AM's weakness. Well I was a little too low so I got nuthin', but nice recovery for sure.
I'm trolling for NAT COS.UN:TSE, K:TSE, and (yech PWI.UN LOL) also, but no nibbles yet :o)

Pretty happy with the HGMCY (rolled funds from sale of 40% K.TO into that one) and the GLG (small position) and the DROOY too!

Isopatch I xposted your Anthrax post to BBR.

regards
Kastel

Frank, Iso, thanks for the Dr Nass statements. My reaction as a physician who has had to indirectly deal with CDC and FDA for 30 years is this: Bullshit! I can just see the millions the US govt is throwing into the mass
implementation of these "filters" that allegedly detect unusual amounts of unusual organisms! This is chickenshit
and it really (okay , pardon my language but I am enraged) pisses me off to hear supposedly responsible spokespersons for the government try to assuage the terror already rampant in parts of our country. Bin-Laden/al-Quada is NOTHING if not brilliant in their chess moves and their disinformation. The fact that many Americans are running out to buy gas masks is tragicomedy. Most neurotoxins have skin as a quite efficient
route so one need not breathe them. What is at work here is people trying to protect themselves and their families
against presumed threats, presumed dangers, presumed avenues of attack. Far greater in my view is a multistrike exercise by terrorists already in our midst against such targets as gas pipelines and power grid centers. How many times I drove by a huge power transformer station in Seattle on the way to work, razor wire? yes, armed guards, no...never...The pipeline supplying the bulk of Seattle's water from the Cascades to the East is miles long, with virtually no continous security. A terrorist could have worked with a couple of buddies in old planes like I had, a Cessna 120, and crashed into it at several places at once, diverting attention while a dozen others attack from the ground and put something as simple as lead powder into it. Removeable? Of course. Expensive and time consuming? Also of course. The damage and death, perhaps minimal, the terror, the blow to morale in Seattle, just one port city, incalculable. I have flown from as far as Seattle to Whitehorse, Yukon Territory years ago using power lines that stretch for hundreds of miles, all unguarded, as groundposts, position markers, stricly needle, ball, airspeed flying folks, no fancy instruments. Or think of the storage tanks in the Houston area, easily strikeable by an incindiary armor piercing bullet, perhaps hand loaded for an easily available hunting cartridge like the 340 Weatherby Magnum, well within reach of anyone driving by from 500 yards away, and yeah, you are often closer than thaton major roads, all over the southern Gulf coast...in summary the possibilites are endless and we should consider the possibility that the manuals for crop dusting planes were planted "disinformation." To charachterize the enemy as cowardly or stupid is erroneus. He is committed, sly, so far brilliant. Above all he is ruthless. Hey, he said in 1998 it was war! It is not meant to be praise. Aready there is talk here and elsewhere of our "pulling our punches." That makes me sick to think of it. My first choice, the heinous( to some here and elsewhere) pre-empive first strike is obviously not on the table. There is another ultimatum that could be quite effective, issued to ALL Islamic States (friend or foe, Ha and some of us speak as if Wahabi Saudi Arabia is a friend??!!) Oh that we had the will and guts to use it and mean it.
Again I fall back on history, Roman version , what matter if they hate us, so long as they fear us? Simple.
To all Islamic states in the world... shut down your terrorist organizations and give them to us, even women and children. You have thirty days. We will monitor and accept no protests in your streets. Period. There is no negotiation. Period. If you do not comply with our demands ( no, no way to consider this a request, we want no answer but yes)...then your holy cities of Mecca and Medina cease to exist. Poof. We don't have to kill a billion Muslims nuts who despise separation of church and state. We just do this... Radiactive glass, a pilgrimage to which will give you terminal radiation sickness and for 10,000 years (will need some thorium in the bombs, longer half life). And IF that be enough to start WW III (we alredy have a pretty good idea that is what some of the most extreme of you and over which you do not maintain control) and we are declared the object of a world wide holy jihad, then we will have to take necessary action against a billion and a half people...too bad..There will some decent people offed...how about the WTC? We are looking into the face of the Dark Ages
under Islamic fundamentalism here people. And for the life of me I do not see very many Americans who appear
to have a clue. It is us against them. As for Russia and China? You think they are in league with the mad House of Saud as much as we are for business reasons? You think they are going to cry at giving these nuts to ALLAH? I don't think so? They already have their own problems with the fanatics. It is our trump card and we can play it in 30 days. And if they who are already here do their worst, and they would, will it be worth it to them to lose the birthplace of the Prophet Muhammed All Blessigs Be Upon Him? I don't think so. But if it is, then we see it as it really is, not as a holy war for spiritual reasons, but simply a run for establishing an Islamic planet earth. Sorry for the rant, but here is one physician who can be quite "not gentle" with the enemies of my civilization, with a perspective of a hundred years, not just when SS runs dry... and who thinks this stuff about biological and chemical warfare is a ruse. You better be more worried about your electricity, your water, and you gas. Slider, it is just that in my view, tic, toc...

PS For all of you who may swallow the rhetoric about Islam being at its core peace-loving, do yourself a favor.
Got to a Brittainica or the net, and look up the "five pillars of faith"...see how it meshes with our Constitution's separation of church and state. It does not. Don't buy it? Go see for yourself. Muslims may say and mean they are "peace-loving people. But their religion may at its core be incompatible with co-existence with the West. But worry not. I am but a small minority who have views like mine. So...we may well lose the war...hope I am wrong, feel it in my gut I am not. And of course I personally would be surprised to find a willing devout Muslim who would swear before his Allah with his hand on his Koran that he disavows any allegiance forever for him and his children any disbelief in separation of church and state. How many devout Muslims would that be? And there is this to add. I do not consider myself racist or religiously intolerant. I am an American survivalist. I consider my country's Constitution to be the highest law and virtue of the land, of the planet, as developed so far. We are in the gravest danger in our history.
