JP, The French culture is self exterminating. It has already drifted far from it's french roots and even with bill 101 it keeps fading away. Low birth rates of native French speakers ensure that the average age of the population is rising. Immigrants do not have the same love for French as natives and many are English speaking so there is an inexorable dilution that can have onlpy one ending. Of course it will take 50-100 years, but it will fade away and become a splinter language like Welsh or Gaelic. (of course the Welsh and Irish feel those two are alive and well and will soon throw English out of Wales and Ireland)
