JimL,

I sense that the whole PM sector is just simmering now below POG 300. Some individual issues are popping here and there as the entire group approaches escape velocity.

NEM is THE chart to watch...

Agree'd; impressive break today... has had steady, solid accumulation - as it should; being the most liquid, unhedged NA large cap Gold Stock.

I'm doing an interesting "potential upside" chart - comparing gold/silvers to their peak in the Sept '99 spike on $320 Gold.

NEM hit $30 then so 20-25% upside to that level.
HGMCY hit $6.50ish so another 20-25% there as well.

Some of the small/mid-cap fav's like AEM & GG are allready above the Sept '99 highs and we're seeing the heavy hedgers here like ABX & AU trailing badly on this last 52 week move....AU was $25 before the 9/99 breakout and hit $37 on the spike... is now $15ish here... imho, it incorrectly will get institutional money; allways does on any POG move, but it's so heavilly hedged that it is NOT the savy play on Gold, but has some "laggard potential"... still like NEM, HGMCY; but the silvers & small cap golds here are the "pocket-rockets" on the "when, not if" remaining move.

It get's interesting on the small caps... KGC hit $3.75, CDE $5.68 (dilution since, but upside++), PAAS interestingly enough ramped from $5 to over $7.30 - and silvers are really interesting here imo...
