Could it be that your bitterness toward techs and bulls such as me is due to the fact that you spent time rationalizing the world and the market, and talked so much about logic, mania, bulls, bears, etc. etc. etc., instead of actually investing in the techs right at the beginning of the boom?!

At the beginning of the boom, I had a disproportionately large investment in LSI. I wanted to dilute my stake since I didn't want more than 6% in any one stock, give or take. I got way too greedy in 1995, held on until the next bull market, sold some, diversified the proceeds into both non-tech and tech (mutual funds). As the greatest financial insanity ever in history unfolded, I sold off and went mostly into cash.

When I asked, "Why should I be bitter?", it was a rhetorical question. Of course, I have no need to be bitter. And btw, you really have to make up your mind on whether I am bitter or arrogant. It is kinda hard to make an allegation that incorporates both! <g>
