Dear Tench:

So by your lights a circuit that multiplies the clock by 2 and divides it by 3 is faster than one that divides it by three and multiplies it by two. There is no real world difference, but Intel has you thinking that it makes sense. It isn't 2x frequency when a instruction using it is always longer than the quickest one just using the base.

If it is, then all 2.4GHz cell phones should be called 1+THz phones, and no one calls them that (except you and Intel Marketing). Sorry, your one liners do not change the facts! You lose!
