Joe,

Re: "Via = bad, Nvidia = good. Both companies have balls ... Comments?"

Yeah, I've got some comments ... Makes NO sense. Why would Nvidia want to
saddle themselves with Fab capacity when capacity can be easily
purchased from foundries like TSMC. BTW, TSMC has come a long ways
in the last two years. They now provide competitive process performance without
the expense of depreciating all that capital. Also, no one will
want to take over AMD's "jihad" against INTC ... Only one man is
that "stupid" and he will "retire" soon ... maybe. <ggg>

Make It So,
Yousef

The only recent rumor is Micron, which I think would be as bad as Via, if not worse. Any OEM / computer maker is a bad candidate, as it would immediately make selling to any other OEM much more difficult. Nvidia is interesting. They seem like maybe the only people who have an independent grasp of PC system architecture, and some original ideas about it.

The last thing Jerry wants is for his baby, his vision to die, so he needs someone with brains and balls to lead AMD (I am not sure if Hector has either).

I know your gonads were functioning effectively at last report. After receiving death threats in Arizona when he fired folks at Motorola, what else does Hector need to do to prove his do, too? Get himself nailed to a cross and rise on the third day?

As for brains, you seem like a pretty smart guy, just not as smart as I am, you know what I mean?
