Considering your distaste with the "Zionist entity" in Arab homelands, I highly recommend a reading of Philip Roth's "Operation Shylock."

Read seriously, Malcolm, you might find support for your thesis. Read with a sense of humor, you might find it amusing as Roth meets a series of bizarre characters on his journey through Israel and the West Bank, promoting an exodus in reverse.

The first refusal of immigration visas was in Hitler's time. The second refusal was in the immediate post-war period.

This is quite untrue; strict control of immigration into the US, for example, began in 1920. The example of the 30's and 40's showed the Jews pretty clearly that if they wanted to have anyplace to go, they needed to make it themselves.
