Any guesses about which GSM carriers might choose a 1X overlay?

Puckie's neurons are misfiring today. The answer is obvious.

If CDMA2000's capacity increase is real, it appears that unless GSM counters with capacity increases comparable to CDMA2000's, there will be no argument but that CDMA wins in voice capacity. This should be a serious advantage in markets where the two standards compete head-to-head. If data transfer does not establish itself significantly, as many have predicted, CDMA2000 should do very well indeed in those markets.
