From Yahoo finance profile:

INRAD, Inc. develops, manufactures and markets products for use in many Photonics Industry sectors via its three related product categories: Custom Optics, Crystals and Components, and Systems. The Company's current customers include leading corporations in the following industries: Commercial Laser Systems, Semiconductor Inspection Equipment, Telecommunications Instruments, Telecommunications Components and Defense Electro-Optics. The Company's customers also include researchers at National Laboratories and Universities worldwide.

INRAD, Inc. designs, develops, manufactures and markets crystals and markets crystals and products incorporating crystals which are used primarily for controlling and augmenting laser radiation. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues increased 48% to $4.7 million. Net income totaled $272 thousand, up from $14 thousand. Revenues reflect increased product sales. Net income also reflects decreased R&D expenses due to subsidies from an OEM customer.

My summary of recent financials: Annual sales between 9-10MM, market cap of about 7MM based on 5.3MM shares, but reportedly only about 200K shares in float. After today, market cap looks like it will be around 6MM. I bought some previously on dips and traded without problem. Hoping this drop isn't the prelude to bad news.
