Recent earnings preannouncements from CPQ and airlines are partially a factor of transportation problems. Software flows uninterrupted over the internet. I don't think expenses of delivering CD's is a major issue.

Real problem is going to be Exodus and other hosting and broadband companies go out without realistic buyouts as exampled bt AT&T purchase of assets from AT Home or Rthyms asset buyout by Worldcom.
Otherwise infrastructure we depend upon will fall apart or at least people will postpone any additional infrastructure upgrades another Q or two because of switching to another internet service provider in an very expensive emergency move.
I have law firm that was planning to spend $150-200K upgrading entire office of 75 computers and 3 MSFT servers this fall until cheap DSL broadband solutions dissappeared last month. He is doing cheap rubberband repairs on workstations and considering low cost Novell or Linnux servers for file and print instead for the forseeable future.
