Hang in there.I think you interpret Moore's listserv postings in a very negative light. I wouldn't put much stock in impressions of my posts, be they positive or negative, regarding Moore's comments on his listserve. If I'm right that there have only been two or three of his posts published here in the last eight months, that's not much to go on. Not being a subscriber to the listserve, remember that I don't have the benefit of his posts in context; they are posted here out of context and I'm commenting about them out of context. As for market timing, you definition is so extreme that it guarentees that any activity called market timing will fail. It's reassuring to see that you agree. As for whether or not it's extreme, I have no idea. All I know is that I don't want to do anything that might be at or near my definition. The Gorilla Game will always breakdown if it is popular. I agree completely. In the relatively early days of the thread, a lot of people were asking if the Gorilla Game would hold up once enough people knew about it and invested accordingly. From the very beginning, I have always maintained that when a shake-out occurs that eliminates almost all Gorila Gamers' confidence in the methodology, that's when it is most likely to become the most profitable over the long term. It might disappoint some people to learn that I don't think we're quite there yet, but I do believe we're definitely getting closer and closer. The longer the bear market in tech stocks drags out and the lower stock prices go, only the relatively few who have read and re-read the manual and constantly use it as a reference source will appreciate its thesis well enough to stay the course and invest according to its thesis. I believe relatively few people have that sort of understanding that fosters the requisite staying power and patience. Most of them probably participate here and on other similar threads, but that's relatively few people. --Mike Buckley
