Bin Laden never mentioned oil, as far as I know. Neither do the Taleban. Frankly I don't think it's possible for the U.S./U.K. to "control" the oil of the middle East. The oil is solidly in the hands of the governments of the oil countries. The price depends on world market prices which these countries try to force upwards. I don't think the U.S. controls the oil of Iran or Iraq or Saudia-Arabia to name the three biggest producers. I'll bet that people who live in the middle east know this. To build up the wrath of fanatics you have to have something they saw or can see. The scenes of conflict in the West Bank can be filmed and shown anywhere. Do you yourself believe that these schemings of Western powers exist?
