Well, by definition then you are a discretionary trader as well.
I overide the system when economic news is released at 10 am

Whenever you make decisions that override the system you become a discretionary trader. I never agreed with that insofar as I use a system to dictate how to trade the day, and then waited for the day to "set-up" for the trade. But I accept the discretionary trader label because it makes no difference really.

All that really matters is whether you win or not, yes?
