Those who bought (and I traded the stock in December of 1998, I recall it going up something like 25-30 points during the December/Jan blowoff) for TRADING and got out before that first suspect quarterly announcement in early 1999 had nice gains. That isn't the point. Dell has been a nice trader over the past few years. It hasn't done anything for the buy and hold crowd. I also suspect many of the 'traders' that used to post here don't anymore because they bought the dips and held a bit too long, becoming caught in subsequent NAZ downdrafts. You could have bought a long term position above 60 20 months ago and be down even more....
