Pardon the intrusion, but just what rule would you like to see? How would said rule help you ?

You do know how to prevent your stock from being lent, take delivery of the cert...Do you do that?

You are twisting the logic, as most people who complain about losing in a down market would. You asked me about prior commodity markets that had no short selling and I had to go back to the 1600s to find one.
