Brian,
Gandhi was fighting the British, not terrorists. He used passive resistance but India has used force in its history against foreign enemies such as pakistan and china. How would have Gandhi dealt with a foreign invasion? Did India ever not have an army? i suspect that you are talking apples and oranges here.
Regards,
Mike

re: Violence of any kind is illogical.

And with the benefit of hindsight, what is your solution to Hitler and Naziism?

Or should the rest of the world have just accepted Hitler's view of a master race with everyone not meeting the Aryan National standard being put to death and cremated?

Brian, Would you be alive today in that "non-violent" scenario?

And finally, what difference in fact do you believe there is between:

Hitler, Naziism and the Master Race; and,
Bin Laden, the Taliban and Islamic Extremists?

Brian, If you're unable to reply with a logical, coherent solution and answers, perhaps you would do this thread a favour and stop throwing out platitudes like "Violence of any kind is illogical".

Just a thought,
Ian
