Pete, Intel claims that part of the P4 runs at 2x the speed. My friends who worked on the processor tells me that part of the P4 runs at 2x the speed. These are real speeds with extremely light pipeline stages. This is not a pair of two pipelines running out-of-phase, nor is it "quantispeed" nonsense.

I trust their statements over those of some crazed Internet poster who demonstrates both denial and hard-headed stubbornness.
