it would be painful to be short this market if it starts to recover

You could be right, and it would be painful.

I am still convinced that the combination of bad Corporate reports and unsettled world conditions, plus the negative outlook that everyone has, is going to keep this market flat to down.

You, I, and everyone else here is watching it closely. Lets hope we get it right!

All of the talk by the "Chattering Classes" about getting everyone to ignore events and go out and spend, spend, spend, reminds me of the "Don't look behind the curtain!" scene in the "Wizard of Oz" movie.

I remember when I was making my way though College selling cars, in 1957, that we had a recession and we all had to participate in a parade and wear "YOU AUTO BUY NOW!" buttons.

Also reminds me of the "WIN" buttons during the Ford years. (Remember, "Whip Inflation Now"?)
