Mitch-C...that book by Vann is a very good read, what was the movie they made out of it?

"As Lt. Col. John Paul Vann, a celebrated adviser to the South Vietnamese Army, wrote in 1963: "Guerrilla warfare requires the utmost discrimination in killing. Every time we killed an innocent person we lost ground in our battle to win the people." That is a warning worth remembering now, as the righteous fury of America prepares to descend on Afghanistan."

Now here is a man that did his share of killing in Korea and Viet Nam...I think the Viet Cong called him "Col-B-52"
The futility of just killing enemies would have me believe that he would share Brian's viewpoints had he survived Viet Nam. Warfare changed him from, Kill'em, bomb'em, bash'em to "there has got to be a better way".
