Well, this should help allay Israeli fear of the palestinians: Two children die in raid on Jewish settlement JERUSALEM, Oct 2 (Reuters) - Two Israeli children were killed and several other people were hurt when Palestinian gunmen raided a Jewish settlement in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday and seized a house and hostages, the Israeli army said. An army spokeswoman said it was not clear how many gunmen had entered the settlement of Alei Sinai in the northern Gaza Strip near the border with Israel, and it was not immediately known how many hostages had been taken. "Two people were killed. They were children," she said. She did not know their ages. The wounded included three soldiers who were lightly to moderately hurt in a gun battle which was continuing, the spokeswoman said. The incident was certain to put further strain on a ceasefire which both sides have accused the other of violating repeatedly. 15:13 10-02-01
