How much did the 9/11 attacks positively boost sales which would result in a higher reorder rate and or clearing out the channel overhang.

How much is KDDI's 1X delay and their obivious dropping the ball in attaining new subscribers on their current network negatively impact sales.

I think that KDDI was doing pretty well up until the last two months. I doubt that they will be worse than flat YoY. Also, prior to the attack, I believe that US CDMA handset sales were up YoY. I think a flat YoY sales comparision for CDMA (outside of Korea) really does represent a worst case scenario.

If China is not rolling out till 1st Q 02 then I wouldn't expect asic orders till sometime in december which being the end of the qtr will make it a difficult call for Q in this month's CC.

I think the wording that has been used with regards to the China launch is "early '02". They make it sound like January...but who really knows? I vaguely remember Qualcomm mentioning a 6-8 week lag between chipset shipment and handset sale. Hopefully, we can get some of the chipsets into the upcoming quarter.
