Other charges included $45 million to write down the value of a stake in Telecorp PCS, a wireless telephone maker; $40 million stemming from its money-losing major medical business and $40 million in guarantees made on behalf of executives who took out loans to buy Conseco stock. F*cking let 'em hang! That's utter nonsense, Conseco shareholders giving the executives a risk-free loan to margin Conseco stock. That's even worse than issuing options... BC
