Some examples, I have a good friend that lives in Jonesbore Ar. that owns the Holiday Inn in Jonesboro along with other Hotels in Ok, and Tx. One is in Tulsa Ok. which is very depended on the air travel in and out of Tulsa and he said the week after the bombings they had about 20% of the hotel full, the next about 40% full and this past week almost back to what they were doing before the bombings. My aunt made reservations to stay at the Chaute On the lake in Branson Mo. about two weeks ago for her and her husband and at the time they had all kinds of rooms and were discounted as well. Yesterday another couple decided to join them and to their surprise the Hotel was sold out and they were put on the waiting list at the full rate if a room comes open! Another, is my wife and I have had a trip to Orlando,Fl. planned for 6 to 8 months now and the week after the bombings our room rate dropped in half from $120 a night to $60. My wife decided to search the net a week and a half ago and found a rental company that had bought up all the rooms in the Marriot Courtyard Hotel in Disney Village and was reselling them for $25 a night, YES $25 A NIGHT! I have an aunt and uncle that live in Stewart Fl. that thought they would come up and spend a night or two with us and when my wife check on the room rate today for them they were selling for $109 and only a hand full of rooms left! About 50 percent of those will be relocations or expansions of existing clubs. The division will also continue its aggressive remodeling program with about 100 projects during the fiscal year.
