John: So am I a neighborhood bandwidth thief or not? I need to know if I have another vice to feel guilty about.

Well, I'd have to admit that I'd probably use it myself, if in your position&#133 As Milo says, you've paid for x Mbps and you're just doing what you can to get closer to that number. If your DSL-provider doesn't have enough bandwidth from the local telephone switching station, that's pretty much their problem and they really should upgrade. If enough people use the program, your provider will get plenty of complaints and either upgrade the connection to the switching station or implement some sort of fair-queuing.
