I applaud the accuracy of your hindsight - 100%. It is now obvious that we should have known that bus drivers were easy targets too. Maybe, the bus driver should have grown eyes in the back of his head & applied a hard step on the brake to send his attacker through the windshield. To compare any part of this disaster to a Simpson's episode is insulting beyond repair. I can't believe you would insult the people responsible for the protection of the US for unthinkable acts of hatred. One thing I am glad - the public is starting to profile senseless, liberal satire - much like your tasteless comparisons. Eliminating sponsorship for people like Bill Maher's show "Politically Incorrect" is long overdue. EOM

To qveaurice and Maurice: I believe both views have merits. But what frustrates me most is gov't waste of time and energy in nonproductive ways that detract from what the constitution empowers them to do: namely, and narrowly, to do things which the people can not do for themselves. It's time for all of us to get gov't out of the housing business (HUD), the war on drugs (that's like pissing in the wind), our pocketbooks (flat tax and scrap the IRS), oh yes, and education, etc. They may then be able to focus on what we really need, protection in all its forms. regards bt
