>>and what he said was true, that Osama Bin Laden represents Islam today no more than the Crusaders in the 12th century who plundered and raped and murdered represented Christianity.....<<

They may not have represented "Christianity" as it is set forth in the NT. But they did represent the ethos of Christians of the day very well. Food for thought...

Let's not veil our faces that much, or we'll miss.

- Bin Laden represents a good chunk of Islam today.

- The 12th century Crusaders did represent the Christian world of their time quite well.

- If Jesus existed, was put on trial and so on, the Sanhedrins did represent the will of their people, and have to take their responsibility in Jesus end.

- Bush and Blair do represent their nations today.

Etc

I just wish GW was as able to articulate his views in such powerful language...

I feel a lot of sympathy for GW though.. I find it far easier to put my thoughts down into written words than to enunciate them extemporaneously...

Some people just have the gift of public speaking, and some folks like myself and Bush, are probably far better remaining behind a keyboard... :0)
